    Hi guys,


    This is meant to be a seemingly helpful guide to Vilefiend Spire (VFS). You'll note that some of the information is missing. That's because I've not recently had time nor the ability to reach floors past 10F. If you do have info, tricks, buff names or anything you think may help shoot me a message WITH images/video so I can add it in the guide! I want to thank everyone who has contributed so far, and I'm really glad that as a community we've been able to continuously run VFS since it was first accessible back in August!

    Upon reaching Level 31 you with automatically receive a mission, L31. Saving Vilefiend Spire

    How To Enter Vilefiend Spire

    Select Vilefiend Spire from the minimap (The tower icon on the bottom right) to open the Vilefiend Spire interface.

    Under the Group tab you may select a challenge group to join.


    ♖ Vilefiend Spire is accessible every day, to players Level 31+, from 15:00 until 17:00 server time (EST).


    ♖ From 14:30-15:00 players may freely join or leave a challenge group; a challenge group can hold up to 30 players and up to 20 challenge groups may access the instance.


    ♖ At 15:00 the instance opens and registered players will receive a confirmation window. Players will have 3 minutes to finalize their decision. If registration is full, those who cannot finalize their decision will be removed to grant access to those who have been waiting.


    ♖ From 15:00 to 15:20 players can still join a challenge group if they have not registered. After 15:20 players will no longer be allowed to switch groups. Leaving your group after this time will not allow you to re-enter.


    Challenge Rules

    ♖ Each player will have 10 Challenge Chances that are shared across a player’s account.

    ♖ Dying or leaving the instance will consume one challenge chance. Players may re-enter immediately through the interface by selecting “Enter”, but only between 15:00 and 17:00.

    ♖ Resurrection skills and items are unavailable inside the tower.

    ♖ Once you have no chances you must wait until chances are reset at 6:00 server time. However, you will remain a member of your challenge group, and may continue your challenge on the next day.

    ♖ A challenge group’s progress remains until it is reset after each maintenance.


    Guild Challenge Groups

    Under the Guild tab select “Create” to make a guild challenge group.


    ♖ A guild must be at least Lv2, and at least a week old to create a group. Guilds Lv6 or higher may create up to two groups.

    ♖ A player must be in a guild for at least a week in order to participate in a guild group.

    ♖ It will cost 6000 gold to register one guild group. Only the guild leader and 2nd highest rank can create a group.

    ♖ Guild groups are deleted and all progress is reset after each maintenance.

    Special & Ancient - Can be placed in all color quality equipment, including purple equipment.

    Standard & Dimensional - Can only be placed in purple color quality equipment.


    x200 Ancient Trol Noble Archaeological Material can be traded to <Archaeologist> Dobreau in Jale (277, 284) for a title.

    Reward Buff: Time Prophecy All DEF +1% Attacks have a 1% chance of triggering double attacks.

    Reward Item: Dimensional Sand, Dimensional Fragment, Incomplete Trol Stone Blueprint


    [Task]: You are to kill Claiborne and Justus to spawn Theon. Avoid the Light Rings.

    • Time Feedback: 50% chance to reflect 10% Physical or Magic damage back to attacker

    • Temporal Remnant: Movement Speed -10% for enemies within 10 meters. Movement Speed -20% for enemies within 20 meters.

    Light Ring- Time Stop

    • Light Ring - Time Stop: Stuns nearby enemies for 3 seconds every 5 seconds.

    Light Ring- Rift

    • Light Ring - Time Rift: Deals damage equal to 1% of Max HP every second.

    Light Ring - Reverse

    • Light Ring - Time Reversal: Knocks back nearby enemies every 5 seconds.

    Victory Requirements:

    • Survive the Needle Frostwolves' Attack
    • Defeat <Claw of Destruction> Averill x1

    Reward Buff: Wolf Slayer All damage dealt +1%, normal attacks have a 1% chance to trigger a triple attack. Lasts for 10 minutes.

    Reward Item: Dimensional Sand, Dimensional Fragment, Incomplete Trol Stone Blueprint


    [Task]: Defeat Needle Frostwolf until Averill is free to attack.

    • Devastating Flurry: Your attacks have a 30% chance to trigger triple attacks.
    • Leader of the Pack: Rallies the Needle Frostwolves, granting the following buffs: Damage dealt +20%, Movement Speed +30%, and attacks have a 50% to hit 3 times. Lasts 60 seconds.
    • Wrath of Wolf: All damage dealt +1%, Movement Speed +1%, stacks up to 50 times.

    <Arctic Behemoth> Westadt


    ⏲ Timed Event: A Behemoth Challenge


    Victory Requirements:

    • Defeat <Dormant Behemoth> Westadt x1
    • Defeat <Arctic Behemoth> Westadt x1

    Reward Buff: Snow Mountain Endurance Max HP and Max MP +1% for 10 minutes.

    Reward Item: Dimensional Sand, Dimensional Fragment, Incomplete Trol Stone Blueprint


    [Task]: Defeat Dormant Behemoth to spawn Arctic Behemoth. Avoid the Crystalline Frost

    • Hibernation Armor: All DEF +80%
    • Winter's Reach: Inflicts Suppressing Cold on enemies within 50 meters every 10 seconds.

    Crystalline Frost

    • Frost Breath: Inflicts Crippling Frost on players within 10 meters. Unable to move or attack. Lasts 3 seconds.

    Fervent Fire Element

    • Inner Warmth: Able to resist Crippling Frost.


    Player Debuffs

    Destabilized: All Attack Damage -5%, Hit Rate -5%, unable to use items.

    Suppressing Cold: DMG -1%, Attack Speed ?1%, Cast Speed -1%



    Vilefiend Spire 4F

    <Woeful Warlord> Aleph


    ⏲ Timed Event: A Past Opponent


    Victory Requirements:

    • Defeat <Woeful Warlord> Aleph x1

    Reward Buff: Bloodthirsty Combatant Attack Speed +1%, normal attacks have a 5% chance to trigger double attacks.

    Reward Item: Dimensional Sand, Dimensional Fragment, Incomplete Trol Stone Blueprint


    [Task]: If you want more drops defeat <Guardian Sprite> Clotilde first then defeat <Woeful Warlord> Aleph. Defeating Clotilde first will empower Aleph. Avoid the Pernicious Thorn, as this monster will cast two debuffs on you.

    Pernicious Thorn

    • Entangle: Attack Speed -3%, Movement Speed -3%. Stacks up to 10 times.
    • Pernicious Thorn: Unable to move. Immobilizes enemies within 5 meters.

    <Woeful Warlord> Aleph

    • Bloodcraze: Physical critical hits have a 10% chance to recover 10% HP and trigger Attack Speed +30%.


    Player Debuffs

    Open Wound: -1% HP every second.

    Swirling Vortex: Stunned and unable to perform any actions.



    Vilefiend Spire 5F

    <Disaster Spirit> Red-Eyed Rabbit


    ⏲ Timed Event: The Impending Disaster


    Victory Requirements:

    • Defeat <Disaster Spirit> Red-Eyed Rabbit x1

    Reward Buff: Rabbit Butcher P-DEF and M-DEF +5% for 10 minutes.

    Reward Item: Dimensional Sand, Dimensional Fragment, Complete Trol Stone Blueprint


    [Task]: Attack the boss without using magic attacks or magic debuffs.


    Monster Skills & Buffs

    <Disaster Spirit> Red-Eyed Rabbit

    • Baby Fat: Recovers 1% H P every second for 10 seconds.
    • Bloodthirsty Glare: Resets all threat against the caster and inflicts Max HP and MP -5% on enemies within 20 meters.
    • Buff Bunnicula's Teeth: Converts 1% of damage dealt by normal attacks into healing.
    • Buff Miasma: Chance to be inflicted with all kinds of effects.
    • Call Companion: Deals tremendous magic damage to a target and summons 5 Ancient Jelly Rabbits with high ATK and DEF to attack the enemy.
    • Conditioned Fur: Damage taken -10% for 10 minutes. Stacks up to 10 times.
    • Rabbit's Wrath: All attack damage +100% for 30 seconds.

    <Plague Spirit> Abyssal Mushroom


    ⏲ Timed Event: Prologue of Destruction


    Victory Requirements:

    • Defeat <Plague Spirit> Abyssal Mushroom x1

    Reward Buff: Vegetarian Moment Max HP and Max MP +1% for 10 minutes.

    Reward Item: Dimensional Glimmer, Dimensional Crystal, Ragged Trol Stone Blueprint


    [Task]: Ignore Little Mushroom and <Plaguebringer> Poisonous mushroom.


    Monster Skills & Buffs

    <Plague Spirit> Abyssal Mushroom

    • Dust Explosion: Deals extremely high damage to enemies within 20 meters and inflicts Asphyxia, which causes Casting Fail Rate +100% for 10 seconds.
    • Exhausting Gas: Deals massive magic damage to enemies within 20 meters, inflicting the Reek effect, which deals damage equal to 1% of the target's Max HP every second. Lasts 30 seconds.
    • Spread Spores: Summons 6 <Plaguebringer> Poisonous Mushrooms. The mushrooms have extremely high P-DEF and M-DEF and will perish when approached.
    • Sticky Steam: Deals massive magic damage to enemies within 20 meters, inflicting Steaming, which inflicts targets already affected by Reek with Max HP and MP -5% every second for 5 seconds.
    • Toxic Dust: Inflicts "Dusted" on any attackers.


    Player Debuffs

    Asphyxia: Casting Fail Rate +100% for 10 seconds.

    Dusted: At 50 stacks, the victim will lose 50% Max HP.

    Reek: Lose 1% Max HP and Max MP every second for 30 seconds.

    Spirit's Plague: P-DEF and M-DEF -5%, Movement Speed -5%

    Steaming: Targets already affected by Reek will lose 5% Max HP and MP every second for 5 seconds.



    Vilefiend Spire 7F

    <Spectral Lord> Aurora Sword Spirit


    ⏲ Timed Event: Origin of the Disaster


    Victory Requirements:

    • Defeat <Spectral Lord> Aurora Sword Spirit x1

    Reward Buff: Soul of Doom All Critical Rate +1% "Harness power from the Demon Sword Spirit."

    Reward Item: Dimensional Glimmer, Dimensional Crystal, Ragged Trol Stone Blueprint


    [Task]: Talk to Trol Robot I and select "Hurry and prepare the robots. I want to fight!" to receive the buff, Trol Robot I. You will need to use the four skills obtained to defeat the boss. The Demon Sword Spirit monsters will interrupt your casting; if there are too many monsters you can wait at the entrance for them to despawn. The boss will not reset.


    Player Skills & Buffs

    Trol Robot I: Transformed into a Trol Robot I "Pilot the ancient kingdom's elite weapon and bring a stop to

    the Nobles' and Demon Sword Spirits' scheme!"


    Purifying Rays: Deals 4% to 6% of Max HP in damage to Demon Sword Spirits.

    Frost Cannon: Deals 1% to 2% of Max HP in damage to Aurora Sword Spirits.

    Sticky Bomb: Movement Speed -20% "When this bursts it releases a viscous substance."

    Repair Kit: Recovers 5% Max HP.


    Monster Skills & Buffs

    <Spectral Lord> Aurora Sword Spirit

    • Bloodlust Sword: Critical attacks temporarily increase Critical Rate and Critical Damage.
    • Bloodthirsty Sword Spirit: Critical Rate +10%, Critical Damage +10% Stacks up to 10 times.
    • Frenzied: Damage dealt +80%, Movement Speed -30%
    • Demonic Catalyst: Attack Speed +3% Stacks up to 10 times.
    • Demonic Force: Deals damage equal to 1% of Max HP every 5 seconds and reduces damage dealt by 100%.
    • Summon Demon Sword Spirits: Summons 10 Demon Sword Spirits.


    Player Debuffs

    Demonic Debilitation: Damage dealt -100% The Demon Sword Spirits' pressure has severely weakened the Sprite Messengers. Only Ancient Trol weapons can hurt them.



    Vilefiend Spire 8F

    <War Spirit> Golem Master


    ⏲ Timed Event: The Rise of War


    Victory Requirements:

    • Defeat <Enraged> Demon Sword Spirit x100
    • Defeat <War Spirit> Golem Master x1

    Failure Requirements:

    • 5 Ancient Trol Knights have been killed

    Reward Buff: Spirit of War Attacks have a 1% chance to trigger triple attacks.

    Reward Item: Dimensional Glimmer, Dimensional Crystal, Ragged Trol Stone Blueprint


    [Task]: There will be Ancient Trol Knight and Ancient Trol Noble in the center. You are to protect these monsters from Demon Sword Spirit. Once 100 Demon Sword Spirit monsters are dead the boss will appear.

    <War Spirit> Golem Master

    • Summon Demon Sword Spirits: Summons 10 Demon Sword Spirits that march toward the center of the zone.


    Player Debuffs

    Demonic Revenge: Enemies within 50 meters have Movement Speed -20 and lose 0.1% of their Max MP every second.



    Vilefiend Spire 9F

    <Ravenous> Hollow Spirit


    ⏲ Timed Event: Who Touched My Bowl


    Victory Requirements:

    • Defeat <Ravenous> Hollow Spirit x1

    Reward Buff: Food for the Hungry Max HP +5%

    Reward Item: Dimensional Glimmer, Dimensional Crystal, Ragged Trol Stone Blueprint


    [Task]: Before starting equip movement speed gear to move faster than Hollow Spiritual Curse. Once the challenge begins players will need to use skill 1 “Collect” to obtain Snowy Pine Needles from Snowy Pine Bush. Talk to Trol Transformer and select "Convert 1 Snowy Pine Needle into 1 Energizing Vegetable Snack." to obtain Energizing Vegetable Snack. Use skill 2 “Feed Vegetable Snack” on the boss. Players should alternate between who uses skill 2 to keep the boss immobilized. Repeat until the boss is dead.


    Player Skills & Buffs

    Collect: Use on Snowy Pine Bush to obtain Snowy Pine Needles.

    Feed Vegetable Snack: Consumes an Energizing Vegetable Snack. Deals 1% of <Ravenous> Hollow Spirit's Max HP in damage and immobilizes it for 3 seconds.


    Monster Skills & Buffs

    • Bellow of Hunger: Strikes the target and enemies with 23 meters, dealing 25 magic damage and knocking them back 10 meters.
    • Curse of the Hollow Spirit: Curse of the Hollow Spirit will wither away all Snowy Pine Bushes within 18 meters.
    • Ode to Hunger: Curses the target and enemies within 23 meters, dealing 25 magic damage and inflicting Movement Speed -15% for 43 seconds.
    • Slimy Saliva: Curses the target and enemies within 23 meters, dealing 25 magic damage and inflicting Movement Speed -30% for 43 seconds.


    Player Debuffs

    Cold and Hungry: All Attack Damage -100%, unable to use items or magic. Obtain skills "Collect" and "Feed Vegetable Snack".

    Source of Hunger: <Ravenous> Hollow Spirit is impervious to all attacks. To defeat it, you must use "Feed Vegetable Snack" until you've sated its hunger.



    Vilefiend Spire 10F

    <Ancient Trol Princess> Madelynn


    ⏲ Timed Event: Eternal Binding


    Victory Requirements:

    • Defeat <Ancient Trol Princess> Madelynn x1

    Reward Buff: Harmonized Destiny All damage dealt +1%, Attack Speed +1% for 10 minutes.

    Reward Item: Dimensional Glimmer, Dimensional Crystal, Fine Trol Stone Blueprint


    From Madelynn: Warlord's Ring, Dragon's Ring, Zealot's Conviction, Skeletal Ring, Sigil of Dominance


    From Crawford: Crimson Eye, Emerald Eye, Blessing of the Ancients, Ancient Curse, Champion's Valor


    [Task]: <Ancient Trol Knight> Crawford will spawn alongside <Ancient Trol Princess> Madelynn. Keep the bosses apart to avoid them healing and buffing one another. Destroy Crystal of Memory when it appears. Killing Madelynn or Crawford with a specific class type will elicit more drops from the monster.

    <Ancient Trol Princess> Madelynn

    • Alter Time: <Ancient Trol Knight> Crawford and the caster recover HP +1% per second for 30 seconds.
    • Immortal Blessing: Receiving a critical attack triggers Evade +10%. Successful evasions have a 10% chance to recover 1% of your HP every second for 10 seconds.
    • Link of Destiny: <Ancient Trol Knight> Crawford and the caster gain Evade +80% for 30 seconds. Successfully evading attacks grants Critical Rate, Attack Speed, and Cast Speed +50% for 30 seconds.
    • Madelynn's Blessing: Evade +80% for 30 seconds.
    • Madelynn's Care: Recovers 1% HP every second for 10 seconds.
    • Madelynn's Enchantment: Critical Rate, Attack Speed, and Cast Speed +50% for 30 seconds.
    • Madelynn's Protection: Evade +10% for 10 sec.
    • Symbiotic Destiny: <Ancient Trol Knight> Crawford and the caster gain P-DEF and M-DEF +30% for 25 seconds.
    • Synergistic Destiny: <Ancient Trol Knight> Crawford and the caster deal +30% Attack Damage and receive Attack Speed +30% for 60 seconds.

    Slash through Weak Point: Warrior, Archer and Machinist classes may cause damage to special parts. Monsters who are defeated by destroying their special parts will drop extra items.

    <Ancient Trol Knight> Crawford

    • Cold Shock: Blinks to an enemy and deals physical damage to all enemies within 15 meters, knocking them back 5 meters back and inflicting Movement Speed -30% for 30 seconds.
    • Crawford's Mindfulness: All Attack Damage +20%, up to 100%. Lasts 30 seconds.
    • Crawford's Resolve: All DEF +20%, up to 100%. Lasts 30 seconds.
    • Critical Augmentation: Your critical attacks trigger DEF +20%, up to 100%. Lasts 30 seconds.
    • Shroud of Darkness: Casts once every 60 seconds. Inflict Hit Rate -30% on targets within 20 meters for 50 seconds.
    • Unyielding Will: Receiving a critical attack triggers Attack Damage +20%, up to 100%. Lasts 30 seconds.

    Magic Weak Spot: Mage and Priest classes, may cause damage to special parts. Monsters who are defeated by destroying their special parts will drop extra items.

    Victory Requirements:

    • Defeat <Trol Wraith>Direfire Marsh x1

    Failure Requirements:

    • 5 Ancient Trol Knights survived

    Reward Buff: Salvation For All Cast Speed +5%

    Reward Item: Green Dimensional Fragment, Yellow Dimensional Fragment, Red Dimensional Fragment, Blue Dimensional Fragment, Black Dimensional Fragment, Thunderstrike Ring, Pyre Ring, Blizzard Ring, Gale Ring, Demonologist Ring


    In Mail: Ancient Trol Noble Archaeological Material


    [Task]: Allow <Trol Wraith> Direfire Swamp to defeat 5 Ancient Trol Knight. Defeat Demonic Fallen Hero to receive a buff. Avoid Primeval Ghost.


    Player Buffs

    Salvation Spirit: May repel the Rotting Stench effect. Defeat Demonic Fallen Hero to receive this effect.


    Monster Skills & Buffs

    <Trol Wraith>Direfire Marsh

    • Paralysis Aura: Enemies within 50 meters suffer -1% of max HP every second.
    • Poison Aura: Enemies within 50 meters suffer -1% of max MP every second.

    Demonic Fallen Hero

    • Demonic Fallen Hero's Fury: Reduce target's Physical and Magic Defense by 5% with normal attacks. Physical and Magic Defense -5%. This effect stacks up to 10 times.

    Primeval Ghost

    • Aura of Ghoulish Hatred: Instant Death to enemies within 3 meters.


    Player Debuffs

    Demonic Fallen Hero’s Fury: Physical and Magic Defense -5%.

    Deadly Poison: With the "Leftover Miasma"? status, Deadly Poison will increase max HP by 30%, while Physical and Magical Defense suffers -50%.

    Demonic Rot: With the "Leftover Miasma"? status, Demonic Rot will inflict -5% of max HP every second.

    Leftover Miasma: A vile miasma expelled from a dead spirit. All those within range will be affected by it.

    Rotting Stench: Suffer -30% of max HP every second. "Salvation Spirit"? may repel this effect.

    Shadow Trauma: With the "Leftover Miasma"? status, Shadow Trauma will cause -80% to Movement Speed.

    <Executioner Mecha> Trol Mecha £


    ⏲ Timed Event: Frantic Mecha


    Victory Requirements:

    • Defeat <Executioner Mecha> Trol Mecha £ x1

    Reward Buff: Salvaging Expert Physical Penetration +1%, Magic Penetration +1%

    Reward Item: Green Dimensional Fragment, Yellow Dimensional Fragment, Red Dimensional Fragment, Blue Dimensional Fragment, Black Dimensional Fragment, Thunderstrike Ring, Pyre Ring, Blizzard Ring, Gale Ring, Demonologist Ring


    In Mail: Ancient Trol Noble Archaeological Material


    [Task]: Stay away from other players with the opposite charge.


    Monster Skills & Buffs

    <Executioner Mecha> Trol Mecha £

    • Mecha Bunker: Physical and Magic Defense +2% for every critical hit received. Lasts for 30 seconds. This effect stacks up to 50 times.
    • Mecha Lubricant: While evading, creates a shield that blocks all damage from incoming attacks 5 times. Lasts 10 seconds. If the shield is broken, Trol Mecha 1's Attack Speed recieves +70%. If the shield is not broken, Trol Mecha will receive a shield again.
    • Mecha Rumble: Movement Speed +50% Attack Speed +50%.

    <Guardian Mecha> Trol Mecha £\

    • Electromagnetic Field: Cause Electromagnetic Jamming to surrounding targets.
    • Self Destruct 1: Cause damage by sacrificing self.


    Player Debuffs

    Electromagnetic Jamming: -2% Movement Speed. Lasts for 30 seconds and stacks up to 30 times. When the effect stacks 30 times, the target will be shaken away.

    Negative Charge Residual: While under the effect of Negative Charge Residual, being near comrades with Positive Charge Residual will cause an Electric Charge Explosion, which can inflict heavy damage.
